Albert's Mofongo started in 1996 with a simple mission: bring the authentic flavors of the Dominican Republic to New York City. What began as a small family restaurant quickly became a neighborhood institution.
For over two decades, Albert's was the place where Dominican families gathered for Sunday dinners, where friends celebrated milestones, and where anyone craving real mofongo knew exactly where to go.
In March 2025, Albert's Mofongo reopened its doors in Hackensack, New Jersey with a bold new concept. The same legendary recipes, the same family warmth — now with a unique restaurant-barbershop experience, BYOB policy, and an incredible $15 all-you-can-eat buffet.
